PLOP-hashing

(data structure)

Definition: Piecewise linear order-preserving (PLOP) hashing is a spatial access method which splits space into a nonperiodic grid. Each spatial dimension is divided by nodes of a binary tree. Object are stored in the grid cell of their centroid.
